Formation of the Oman Chapter of the Society for Economic Botany was conceived during the 53rd annual meeting in Frostburg, Maryland, June 6, 2012.
Dr. Darach Lupton and graduate student Abdulrahman Al Hinai attended the meeting in Frostburg.
