SYNTHESYS: Curation of Ethnobiological Collections, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew 2013


This two day workshop held on 24-25 June 2013 at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, brought together Curators of economic botany and natural history museums from across Europe to discuss the challenges faced when caring for collections of organic materials. The workshop discussed areas regarding storage, cataloging, ethics and law, funding, users and conservation.

Those interested in learning more about the management and care of such collections will be able to buy a copy of the soon to be published book Curating biocultural collections. Edited by Jan Salik, Katie Konchar & Mark Nesbitt.
