The conference will be held at the Emory Student Center, a state-of-the-art new building that features ample meeting space and Dining Facilities. The Student Center building was constructed under principles of universal design and features accessible bathrooms and a lactation room, among other accessibility features.
Emory College is located on Emory University’s Atlanta campus in the suburban neighborhood of Druid Hills. The campus is approximately a 15-minute drive from the downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead areas.
Atlanta’s International Airport
The closest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (Airport code: ATL). This is one of the busiest and most efficient airports in the world and, by some accounts, the best in North America. Hartsfield-Jackson is a global gateway, offering nonstop service to more than 150 domestic and 70 international destinations. These locales include major commercial centers in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, and South and Central America. ATL also holds the distinction of being the first airport in the world to serve more than 100 million passengers in a single year.
If traveling to Emory University from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, plan on a 30-45 minute trip by car, depending on traffic. If taking a taxi or using a rideshare app, you can expect a cost of $45-60 fare fee. MARTA, Atlanta’s mass transit system, provides bus and train service to the area for just a $2.50 ticket. You will need to take a ride service or MARTA bus from the train station to campus, as there are no MARTA stations right next to campus. The trip takes 50-75 minutes on average from the airport.
Greyhound Bus Station
If arriving in Atlanta by Greyhound Bus (232 Forsyth St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303), you can reach the Emory University campus either by car (7.7 miles, 26-minute drive by taxi or rideshare, depending on traffic) or on Atlanta’s mass transit system, MARTA for just $2.50 a ticket (45-55 minutes by bus or bus and metro line).
Amtrak Train Station
If arriving in Atlanta by Amtrak Train (1688 Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30309), you can reach the Emory University campus either by car (5.1 miles, 17-minute drive by taxi or rideshare, depending on traffic) or on Atlanta’s mass transit system, MARTA for just $2.50 a ticket (60-75 minutes by bus and metro line).
