Distinguished Ethnobotanist Award

The award of "Distinguished Ethnobotanist" is bestowed annually by the Society upon an individual on the basis of outstanding accomplishments pertinent to the goals of the Society.

President's Award

The President's Award is bestowed by the Society upon an individual on the basis of outstanding accomplishments pertinent to the goals of the Society.

Charles B. Heiser, Jr. Mentor Award

The Student Network Committee initiated the Charles B. Heiser, Jr. Mentor Award to honor outstanding economic botanists who have substantially impacted the training and professional development of ethnobotany students. This award, chosen by students, spotlights dedicated educators who foster the development of the field by example and through student mentoring. It acknowledges mentors who are experienced, knowledgeable, trustworthy friends, counselors, and teachers.

Richard Evans Schultes Research Award

The award is bestowed annually by the Society upon a student on the basis of an outstanding research proposal. The award is intended to help pay the costs of field work on a topic related to ethnobotany.

Mary W. Klinger Book Award

Established in 1993 from a gift from Mary W. Klinger for best book publication. Nominations are received at any time during the year.

Edmund H. Fulling Award

For best student contributed oral paper presented at the annual meeting. Award amount is $500.

Julia F. Morton Award

For best student poster presented at the annual meeting. Award amount is $500.
